National Law University’s conducting body has recently released the notification for CLAT Exam 2021, and students have started filling the online application form for various UG and PG courses.

What is CLAT?

CLAT is the short name for the Common Law Admission Test, and everyone who wishes to make a career in the law field has to pass this national level entrance exam after 12th class.

Candidates, who aim to pursue UG/ PG Courses or degree programs from the National Law Universities (NLUs) must fill the online application form by 31st March 2020.

Courses Under CLAT Exam

CLAT Exam makes you eligible to apply in any of the all national law universities and colleges, and you can pursue any of the UG and PG courses offered in National colleges. Below are some courses you can opt after high school.

  • BA LLB
  • LLB
  • Com LLB
  • BBA LLB
  • BSW LLB
  • LLM

CLAT Eligibility Criteria

It is obvious that the eligibility criteria for UG and PG Courses is different, and the students apply for UG courses, like BA LLB, must have passed 10+2, and students applying for PG courses, like LLM, must have completed their LLB or equivalent degree in law examination. There are a few more things that you must check before submitting the application.

FOR UG COURSES

  • Students, who belong to General/OBC/SAP category must have secured at least 45% Marks in 10+2
  • Students, who belong to SC/ST Category, must have secured at least 40% Marks in 10+2
  • Students, who are waiting for result results can also apply, but they would have to present the qualifying certificate at the time of final admission.

FOR PG COURSES

  • Students, who belong to General/OBC/SAP category must have secured at least 55% Marks in 10+2
  • Students, who belong to SC/ST Category, must have secured at least 50% Marks in 10+2
  • Students, who are waiting for result results can also apply, but they would have to present the qualifying certificate at the time of final admission
