There will be two question papers that will be asked in the UGC NET Exam in Hindi, including Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 will be a general exam and is mandatory for all but UGC NET Paper-2 will be subject focused exam and carries a weightage of 200 marks.
Paper 1 exam will have 50 questions of totally 100 marks. There will be no negative marking for choosing an incorrect answer option in paper 1 and paper 2; however the total number of questions in Paper 2 will be 100.

The candidates need to complete their Masters’ Degree or Equivalent Degree within the following percentage criteria –
- For General Category individuals, they need to have at least 55% Marks
- For ST/SC/OBC/PWD/Transgenders – 50% Marks
- The age of the general aspirants should not be more than 30 years.
- Those aspirants who are studying Master’s Degree or equivalent exam or the ones who have appeared in the final year exam of their PG degree are also eligible to apply for this UGC NET Hindi Exam.
