Introduction

University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is a national level exam conducted to select candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian public universities and colleges. Eligibility Criteria

Age Qualification requires General (UR) Aspirants to not be more than 30 years (for JRF). OBC/ST/SC/PWD/Transgender Aspirants will be provided with 5 years of further relaxation (35 years for JRF). L.L.M. degree holder Aspirants will be provided with 3 years of relaxation (33 years for JRF).

In terms of Education Qualification, General category candidates must have 55% or above in Post-graduation or Equivalent Degree.

OBC/SC/ST/Transgender Candidates must have at least 50% in Post-graduation or Equivalent Degree. The candidates who are in the Final Year of Post-Graduation and waiting for the results are also eligible for the lectureship Exam.
